Inspired by the construction and functionality of Swiss and Belgian army bags of the 1930’s through to 1950’s, the Isambard Briefcase features our signature internal organisation feature that is mirrored in all Cherchbi pieces to provide instant familiarity with your bag from it’s first use, and comes fully lined with premium Behrens 100% dyed cotton fabric in a warm grey hue.

Cherchbi is handcrafted by highly skilled, traditional British leather workers and craftsmen in Melton Mowbray, England.

Variations

Royal Hussar - Harking back to the first military Khaki fabric that was created by Hainsworth in 1899, this modern update is complemented to perfection with antique brass hardware.

Bandolier Black - For robust and everlasting excellence, the ‘Bandolier Black’ wool traditionally used within British cavalry suiting is paired with hard wearing nickel detail.

Union Grey - The softest hue of our collection, this Hainsworth wool is a modernised variant of the original fabric used in the post-war QUARANC medical uniforms of the 1940’s and comes finished with fine nickel detailing.

All British Hainsworth wool has been coated with a bonded waterproof membrane making each piece water resistant and highly durable.
