Newsletter Archive January : New York Trip | Men’s File Pop Up Shop
Hello
Hope you’ve had a good start to the year. Ours has started apace; at Pitti Uomo in Italy and Capsule in New York we met a selection of international buyers and press from Italy, the US, Japan, Korea, China, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden…the list goes on.
The Italian part of the trip really was all about work, work, work (poor us.) However, with a little more time in New York, and in the company of Mrs Atkinson and three friends, we saw some daylight, got out and explored. A round up of our New York findings is available on the CHERCHBI blog; including everything from food to theatre.
In other news, CHERCHBI was part of a stellar line up at the Men’s File pop-up shop (image above), on the increasingly alluring Lambs Conduit Street in London. The shop was dubbed ‘a must-check out for anyone into classic, quality fashion and memorabilia’ by Style Flavours, which sounds good to us. Hope that some of you made it down there, as Send A Raven did. Over on Lookbooks, a New York based fashion site, Sarah Jones has written a charming piece on CHERCHBI, our ‘fine craftsmanship and incredible care and attention to detail in a traditional way’. Nice to know what people are thinking across the Atlantic.
Meanwhile, back at home, The Times called our Black Sail Rucksack a ‘head turner’ and ouriPad Sleeve was the only tweed based design amongst the Observer Magazine’s pick of the best. The excellent Lineage Of Influence also ran a feature on the provenance of our bags.
