Welcome to a slightly delayed August Newsletter. We compensate for our lateness with sparkling content, and if that doesn’t work we have not one but two invitations for you. Firstly, we’re exhibiting at the London Design Festival, a five day show. No excuses, please visit us if you’re in London. Secondly, we’re five years old this year, help us celebrate. Less jelly and ice cream, more ale and hearty fare. Also, we draw your attention to the fact we ship all orders for free to UK addresses, a few press highlights and finally our notes from Margate and Morecambe. Read on.

New Cherchbi bag collection launch
The new bag collection is now available to view and buy here in the Shop. Our most comprehensive range to date includes favourites, the Squires Holdall and Black Sail Rucksack, alongside new designs and materials. Some highlights;
New Tweed Colourways – All Herdwyck tweed bags are available in two colourways, Brown tweed with Brown leather trim or Grey tweed with Black leather trim.
Printed Tweed – A selection of bags are available in two colourways of printed tweed, the result of our recent collaboration with print designer Tamasyn Gambell. These Printed Herdwyck bags were made in small quantities and are already proving popular. Please do get in touch if anything appeals, the Red/Blue Black Sail Rucksack sold out yesterday.
Oiled Leather – We have interpreted a small group of bags in full leather. These heavily oiled ‘hot drum stuffed’ hides, tanned by our friends at Joseph Clayton in Chesterfield, have produced some stunning bags.
Five year anniversary
Cherchbi is five. To celebrate this, and the launch of the new website and the bag collection we’ll host a small event on the evening of Thursday 27th September at a location in Bloomsbury, London. If you would like to join us please send a quick email to email@example.com to confirm your attendance and mark your diaries. Further details will follow.
