Now the dust has settled on London Collections Men and the fashion circus rolled out of town we can, with a small amount of reflected pride, report that the Hardy Amies AW 13 show has been proclaimed a roaring success by the world’s fashion press. Reflected pride because, as you will no doubt realise, unless you have stumbled upon this post by mistake, Cherchbi produced all the bags for Claire Malcolm’s collection, under design direction from the creative head herself. Our robust Cherchbi design handwriting and construction technique form the foundation upon which new materials and colours, unique to Hardy Amies, are built upon. These included a specially woven wool check in vivid hues, the same pattern but exploded in scale in cashmere, Alfred Sargent‘s grain boot leather, rich pony skin and our own oiled leather.
